Luckily, K and I got all our out-and-about stuff done today during the brief return of the sun. But by late afternoon, it had gone cold and rainy again, so we made some tea, popped in the first season of Monk on DVD, busted out the long-arm stapler, and had a little zine party.

Folding and stapling, folding and stapling. That Monk is amazing. When our folding-fingers and stapling muscles get tired, we switch jobs. It’s kind of meditative.
This zine may or may not qualify as a zine to purists. It’s a little “Crafters Guide to Portland†that I created to help get the word out about DIY Alert. It contains reviews of craft stores of all kinds, all over town. Great fun to put together.

250 copies, ready to be rubber-banded into anal-retentive stacks of 20. This batch is destined for the upcoming Granny Panties Craft Bazaar, and the Spring Art Sale at The 100th Monkey Studio.
. . . And now it’s time to dig into the stack of craft books I lugged home from the library today.
