More from the Swap

Here’s a picture of what I hauled home from the swap — two full bags’ worth! At first, I was all, “No, I don’t have room to store anything else, I’ll only take things I can use for teaching classes, bla bla bla.” Four hours later, I was giddily grabbing — it was an just unrelenting parade of delightful things.

So there’s a lot of yarn, and beads, fabric scraps, and a fantastic array of crewel embroidery wool. There’s even a Jiffy Stitchery kit! My mom and I embroidered dozens of these as I grew up. I can’t wait to make this.

And I’m most excited about these three big pieces of fabric, destined for summer dresses . . . hopefully, to be completed this summer.

I also wanted to introduce these PDX crafty folks, who volunteered their time to make the swap a success. Thank you, everyone!

  • Damn! I missed that daisy fabric. the swap was great, Diane, thanks for working on it and for all the crafty things you do in Portland! I really want one of those mushrooms, too, but can't quite get myself to pluck down the ducats. I love the burlap!
  • yay! I got some awesome stuff too... I was so excited. And I'm so glad you snapped up that pink and green fabric, I brought it so I will be extra pleased to see your new dress.
  • Thank you for all your hard work. The event was amazing ... glad I could be part and help out :)
