I received the loveliest package from Khadija this week — these are wonderful favors she has made for a variety of events. Such beautiful simple packages! I had to share.

I love this print. Khadija told me it’s from a photo of an Oriental rug she found in a magazine, scanned, and reproduced as a wrapping. (You can see some similar examples in the photo above.) And then look how the ribbon is inserted to close the bag!

This nice long bag is sewn from a raw silk fabric, with chocolates stacked inside. I love the design of the tag. And I love the presentation.

. . . And this felt bag is so cute. The red felt heart is a separate piece, joined to the bag with the ribbon tie.
Khadija told me, “I love making favors, from conception to the finishing and then once done creating a way for them to be presented. Once I made 800 for a wedding but the usual number for weddings is between 150 – 300 and about 30 for showers. ”
All this makes me want to design and make favors! I need to find a friend who’s having a party — my next one won’t be until October, and that’s too long.
Thank you for the pretties, Khadija!

Thoses packages are so pretty! :-) It defenetely inspire me to do something similar for the packages I am working on ritght now.
I’m a newly-addicted listener to your Craftypod Podcasts. I’ve been listening to them all week-long in the Montreal metro. I just adore the music at the begining of each programs. (Therefore, I am trying to explain to my boyfriend why I keep singing “Zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo!” ) I was afraid I wouldn’t understand everything since my first language is french, but no, you are very “easy” to understand. lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to make such wonderful crafty episodes, Sister Diane! ;-)
