Jiffing my heart out…

Ah, good old eBay. Here’s my latest score: another Jiffy Stitchery Kit!

I was excited about this one simply because it depicts embroidery supplies. But then when I got it, and looked more closely, I was thrilled to see these details:

See the floss peeking out of the red box? It’s done with long loops of actual floss. And then . . . look very closely at the embroidery hoop. See? The last thing you do when you mount and frame this piece is stick your needle into it, and thread a loose end of floss through it, so it looks like a stitchery-in-progress.

Be. Still. My. Heart.

(Incidentally, if you’re local, and hankering, Ethel Stark of the most-excellent Knittn’ Kitten commented in my last Jiffy post that they stock these kits from time to time at their shop. Just don’t take ‘em all.) :-)
