Crafty Zine Alert!

Look what just arrived from Microcosm Publishing! It’s Scrappy: a crafty zine for scrappy people!

This most-awesome craft zine is the creation of Niku Arbabi, who as it turns out, is also the author of one of my other favorite zines, The Ms. Films DIY Guide to Film and Video. (Incidentally, there’s a Fall of Autumn podcast with Niku reading from that very zine.)

Allow me to geek out on the production quality for a moment. The color nameplate is attached to the cover with photo corners! And the zine is bound with eyelash yarn!

And look at all these sewing projects inside! There’s a nice section on sewing basics, and a whole section on cozies. The world can use more cozies.

And the whole thing is illustrated with Niku’s cute and clear drawings. I love this zine! It’s fun to read, and Niku’s instructions are very inspiring. Get yourself a copy here, or here.
