Shiny Happy Monsters feeling glad…

Here they are . . . Glove Monsters! I was trying to come up with a vaguely Halloween-themed project for the October Church of Craft meeting, and finally it hit me: knit gloves are the perfect medium for monster-making, because you can create so many appendages! Monsters need plenty of appendages.

I had a complete blast making these two — a very free-form process, although if anyone wants a tutorial, I’d be glad to put one together. Really, it’s only by sheer force of will that I’m getting any work done today. All I really want to do is make more glove monsters.

. . . I never thought I’d find myself regretting having passed up that bright green eyelash yarn in the clearance bin. :-)

UPDATE: I’m so excited to see people making glove monsters! Link over and see Rachel‘s hot pink creature, made from a dollar-bin glove from Target, and also Cherish‘s cute stripey monster, with the awesome pompom on its head.
