This was me, last night, reading a blog. Well actually, a book made from a blog. It was quiet in the house, and I made some nice hot cocoa, and curled up with a cozy throw. I cannot remember the last time I’ve done all this.
The book is by iHanna, who writes a beautiful blog about living a creative life. At the start of this year, she decided to take all the words and images from her blog in 2006, and compile them into book form. You can read her posts about what a long process this turned out to be. And, I’m delighted to say, soon you’ll be able to hear a CraftyPod interview with her about this project!

(Isn’t that a pretty cover?)
Reading this book, I realized something: I’m a very distracted blog reader. I have an itchy trigger finger on the scroll wheel. Sitting at my computer, I’m always doing several things at once, and my attention is fragmented. I’m missing so much! Even though I regularly read Hanna’s blog, I loved the experience last night of being able to focus my whole attention on her writing and images, in a comfy space away from the computer. It was all so inspiring, and such eye-candy. Blog books! They’re the best!
