Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Vintage Crafty Goodness

A little vintage crafty fun for your Sunday. Mimi was kind enough to send me these, and they’re fabulous.

Not that it’s really time to think about Christmas yet (unless you’re me), but these are some not-bad ideas for recycling old holiday cards. It’s hard to see in the photo, but the round cut-outs on the green tote are framed in plastic six-pack rings.

Okay, maybe that part’s going a little too far. But the rounds have other applications, like this room divider – this could be interesting in, say, banner form or garland form — again, sans plastic six-pack rings.

. . . And I throw this one in because this may be my favorite crafty article title ever. (By the way, Pack-O-Fun is still in publication today, albeit in slightly different form.)

This is very lovable, too. Haven’t we all been here in one form or another?

Thanks, Mimi!
