DIY Alert is a hub of activity these days. In addition to the Handmade Holiday stuff, I’m posting a new craft tutorial there each week through Christmas — so you might want to go check them out.
This week, the project is these cute little Yarn Stars — an offshoot of the yarn dolls, based on a photo in one of my 1970′s craft books. They make me happy. Hope they’ll make you happy, too.

Oooh, my mom totally has one of those that looks like a Santa – the top point of the star is Santa’s head with a weird embroidered face. I always thought it was a little scary as a kid truth be told. I’ll have to see if I can find it on my parents tree this year and take a picture to show you!

be found. “What can I do? Where can I learn how to do
it?
Thanks for your answerAntonella (Italia)
Hi, Antonella – Sorry, I don’t own that website anymore. Looks like the URL has changed. I found it on this page: http://diyalert.com/blog/how-tos
You’ll need to scroll down quite a ways. I can’t seem to locate any permalink for the post itself. But at least you can get there!
