Zine trades are so much fun! Here’s a new discovery, Simple Sal: A Busy Gal’s Guide to Simple Livin’ in a Crazy Age. (Amen to that!) Shelley Jo, the creatrix of this zine, contacted me recently to swap, and I’ve been having a blast reading these.
This is a super-fun zine about simpler living, and it’s packed with solid info about reducing chemicals and toxins in your house, making better use of your time, reducing junk mail, saving money, and eating vegan. There are lots of great recipes, and fun projects like growing your own sprouts, casting your pregnant belly and making a necktie skirt. Shelley Jo even shares her favorite charity organizations. All this and a crossword? Count me in!
This is just the kind of zine I love — one that presents valuable data in a really charming way. If you’re hankering for a copy, you can pick up issues 2 and 3 over at the Simple Sal Etsy shop.
