Get Back, Funky Cat

. . . Speaking of nonserious crafting! I’ve been making this little guy in bits and pieces over the past week. My first attempt at amugurumi. And what fun! I’m (as they say) hooked.

The pattern is from this fantastic book, which was a Christmas gift from K’s nephew:

In case you were thinking of picking up a copy, it’s a really great beginner’s book – my crochet-challenged brain had no problems. I did tweak the pattern a little based on my likes and stash, though.

Btw, if you need a good tutorial for joining appendages to an amigurumi body, I highly recommend this one at Craftybits@PlanetJune.
