Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Craft For Your Country

This is a craft blog, not a political blog. But voting is important no matter what your hobbies are – I think we’d all agree.

Rachel turned me on to Crafters for Obama, which is the first time in this long election process that I’ve seen crafters openly galvanizing for a specific candidate. Whether you support Barack Obama or not, I think that what organizer Julie Ree is doing here is wonderful — she feels inspired by this candidate, and created a way to spread that inspiration by reaching out to our community.

Her words on this subject say it better than I can.

Of course you’re wanting a pair of these spectacular “VOTE” briefs now. They’re made by Salmon Street Studio here in P-Town.
