Just found this podcast - and it was so informative. Thank you! I am one of those "shy" ones who does NOT like to talk about myself - so marketing is so hard for me. I just opened my etsy store (don't have anything listed yet) - but am definitely going to take your advice on photographs, forums, blogging, etc. Thank you!

Thanks, Diane, so much, for the audio on marketing on Etsy. I first learned about Etsy on about.com and then my daughter told me about it. Since then, I have put only 2 items of jewelry on my Etsy site. Now, after hearing your audio and checking out Ryan's Littput Books Shop which led me to looking at many other sites, I'm raring to go and follow through with all of the ideas.

what a great source for info. i spent the podcast snugling under the covers with my hubby . he snored through it ( what does he know), but I got LOTS of great inforamtion to use to market my shop!

Thanks for sharing so much knowledge and insight on your podcast. I was fortunate to hear about ETSY just the other day and then I got an email from about.com regarding your podcast...I don't believe in coincidences, so I think I am being led to sell my work on ETSY, and thanks to you...now I have a little more help to do that.

I originally joined to sell my dichroic glasswork and stones that I polished. I was about to take some photos of my work and decided to put some of the photos I have in my albums on line... I live in a motor home and have 4 years worth of pictures that I've taken of sights, people, animals, monuments, oceans,lakes, sports, etc!

So far, I've had some hits on my pictures, but no sales...I will continue to pick some fun/pretty/informative/unique photos and forge on...

Wish me luck! My pendants should be on in a week or so...I hope others see them and enjoy them as much as I do!

That was a great interview! Thanks. I have never listened to a pod cast before. Your interview skills were great, and the voice quality was so clear. I have a couple of friends I am going to pass this on to. I have been poking around Etsy for a bit and purchased a few things. I just saw the Esty "guy" on Martha Stewart the other day, so that along with this interview makes the process much more clear.

Loved the podcast! So many good tips and lots of things I need to be doing to get my etsy shop noticed. Sorry, no time to say more as I have to go now and work on improving my shop - so much to do!!

Thank you for a great show Diane, it's like you're reading my mind! Why is nobody buying my beautiful bags in my etsy store? Not enough people know about them. Guess you're not reading my mind only think what I and thousand of other crafty gals are thinking about these days!

Ryans etsy store is fabolous. I want to both buy everything and make everything myself or have my shop in such order and cute fashion! :-)

You are so good to us! These are really good links. I have never opened an etsy accout because I'm scared. But last week Martha Stewart had the Etsy owner on, and he is, I think, about 14. So, good work! I love browsing Etsy. I really look forward to the time when I can throw really good stuff up there.
