Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Well, THAT was aweome!

Whew!

The CRAFT Release Party yesterday was spectacular! We were so thrilled with the turnout, and the pantyhose flowers were a big hit. Moxie demonstrated her wonderful monsters – and we got to see all the cover models in person. They were even more wonderful than they were in the magazine. And it was so fun to meet her and her hubby, Paul.

The craft table was hoppin’ all afternoon.

Lee came with her friend Kate, and they jumped in and helped out tremendously. Lee took all kinds of great photos, so you can see the full event right over here. (The ones in this post are hers, too – thank you, Lee!) And Kate cut out felt and pantyhose pieces when we started running out, and invented the crotch patch. (Just go look – there’s nothing untoward there. In fact, it’s funny!)

The Pantyhose Flowers are the coolest craft. We had a blast making them.

Twisted was a lovely venue, and Shannon, Emily, Jessica, and Kate were great fun. If you came by, THANK YOU. Everyone’s great energy really made the whole thing sing.

And, I got to meet so many people in person – Josh and Sarah, LeBrie, Peggy and Mims, Meredith, and Shawn. Woo!
