Yay, what a great show! I had forgot how nice it was to listen to you just talking after all the interviews you’ve made. I feel inspired! But gosh, where to start in all this? hehe.

I love the pipe-cleaner note books! Very tactile, I want to touch them.

Great timing! I’ve downloaded all of your podcasts, and have been listening to them in the studio this week – I’m hooked! And, I’ve been looking for ways to incorporate weaving (using small, modular looms) into some of my projects. Brilliant!

Hi Diane,
Thanks for two more super podcasts! I love downloading your interesting interviews and take a walk down town with my Ipod and just be inspired! Thanks for directing me towards Cathy of California about the loomflowers! Very funny and beautiful stuff over there :-)

Wow. What a great idea. I have not thought too much about weaving, but now I will!

Just wanted to add another weave-y link to your wonderful collection. I have instructions on my site showing how to build, warp, and weave on a very simple frame loom. It’s not as polished as the weave-it loom, so probably a bit simpler for kids to make. I’ve had the instructions on my site for close to 10 years now, and I’ve had great feedback from all sorts of folks who have taught kids to weave, as well as from adults who just want to learn the basics.
Check out the instructions: http://www.hallnet.com/Weave.html
All the best,
Nigel

Unbelievable! I was cleaning up the studio recently and found a small loom (meant for potholders) that I request and recieved as a birthday gift a few years ago. I had requested it for a particular project and now that project is long sense forgotten. I’ve been looking for inspiration for it and also checked for a new podcast. I haven’t listened yet, but the sheer coincidence of it all was to much to not comment!

Don’t think I’m not going to follow all these links, because I am. This is luscious stuff. I love that picture of the woven covers, too. I just got two mini-comp. books, and I’m going to do this before swapping them out. You are so good to us!

I’m tired from spending the last four hours looking for my birdie charm, so please forgive the abruptidy of this message.
I must know how you got the weave onto the journals. Please advise. Do I weave right onto the journal? or do I make a weave on a base page and then glue that sucker on there?
no pressure, but I HAVE TO DO THIS NOW!
humbly,
Chris
p.s. I also wrote to Lindsey at Yarnia, and I said, can’t you preside over Urban Craft Uprising AND Yarnia? This is AMERICA!
so, I’ve done my job.
time for a nap.
