You Make My Day!

23 Mar 2008

Happy Easter, everyone. I don't celebrate the religious aspects of this holiday myself, but always enjoy it as a celebration of Springtime and renewal. (Which makes this morning's soggy weather a little ironic - did I mention the joys of March in the Northwest?)

Anyway, Alice, who is a rock star to me, gave me a You Made My Day Award a while back. It was an honor to receive it from someone whose blog always makes my day. So today seems like a nice day to pass the award on to some individuals who consistently renew my enthusiasm for crafting....

Rachel, who not only writes a great blog, but is my Google Reader buddy. If you use Google Reader, you should try adding some Friends and sharing interesting tidbits with them. I have a little Rachel folder in my reader, and she slips the most fabulous things in there all the time, just like magic!

Cathy, who's blog always makes my little 60's-and-70's heart sing.

Hanna, who is a true creative explorer. Her blog embraces such a wide range of creativity, it always helps me think differently about making things.

Kristin, who does amazing things with leftover materials, and manages so many creative endeavors simultaneously.

Lisa, who writes in a chatty, wacky tone that always cheers me up.

Meggiecat, who is an incredible sleuth of creative culture. Just when I'm starting to feel like I'm seeing the same things referenced on every blog in the world, she comes along with something brand-new and revolutionary.

Moxie, who between this photo and this post, actually made my whole month.

Candie, whose blog gives me a fascinating window into craft on the other side of the world. Just go read this post. I'll wait.

Chris, who has made me spit my tea out laughing on more than one occasion. Chris, where can I send those dry cleaning bills, again?

Martha . . . okay, okay. I know that this is akin to giving God an "atta boy," but here's the thing: I love her personal blog. She writes and shares photos of the day-to-day of her life and the people and animals in it, and it's just fascinating. Reading her posts, I begin to feel her as a person rather than a myth.

Anyway, thank you all! I'm blowing you a big kiss today.

what a great bunch of links! I didn't even know that Martha had a blog--is there anything she doesn't do?

Oh, wow, and that in turn makes my day! How very cool - thank you :-)

I've been so very busy lately, I've lost touch with the crafty blogs. I'm working my way back in this week, and I definitely need to hear to a craftypod or two! I've missed my routine of listening to podcasts while preparing supper.

Your linkage rawks. Thank you! I am new to blogging outside of myspace. Yes, I said Myspace. lol. Anyhoo, I am having fun discovering a whole new world out here.

Viva la Crafts!

The joys of March in Sweden: it's been snowing all day though 1,5 week ago I sat outside in the sun and had my coffee! :-)

Thanks for the award, I can't even tell you how many times you've made my day! soooo many times! *hugs*

Thanks so much for sharing those cools links. I am always on the lookout for ideas to stimulate me as I like to experiment with ideas and use them totally differently.

I was going to make a journal for recording my dreams, but I decided to make a journal for listing all the really awesome links you've shared with us.
Thank you!

Oh my gosh! Bless you Sister Diane for you have made my day two days in a row! Thank you! And for the shout out on the Make It Mine project...blushing over here in China. Seriously. :-)

Awwwwwwwwww! Dang! I'm late on this, but THANK YOU! That is so sweet! You make my day (heck, my YEAR!) for me, too. And these other folks, well, they are just amazing.

And I love love love love Google Reader and being your Reader buddy! I am loving finding all kinds new ways to use Reader. I realized recently that I could subscribe to Flickr groups and users and contacts through Reader. So I can just have everything feed there and I won't miss a thing. I love it. I'm so, totally addicted.

:)
XOXOXOXO
Rach
