Whew! (aka, the CRAFT party recap)

Using the laaaaaaast bit my my mojo today to share some pics from the CRAFT release party. Shannon and Emily, who co-own Twisted, were as always the most gracious and fun hosts.

Above, you can see the craft table, where Susan was teaching people to make her Cute as a Button Bracelet, with much-appreciated help from the lovely Kate. They were (all) a big hit.

The super-talented Kathleen led a bunch of new converts to the art of the safety pin. I wish I’d taken a shot of the little pinned swoop I did on my cardigan – I love it!

There was a lot of door-prizing – drawings every 20 minutes! Just about everyone’s first stop was the ticket table, to get their names in the bucket.

Twisted being the quintessential hangout space, there was also lots of quality hanging-out. I got to see and hug a lot of crafty friends, which was lovely after this last couple months of monastic work-habits.

We were all missing Lee, who took such great photos last time. Thanks for putting up with mine, which are nowhere near as good as hers. Still, if you’re a glutton for visual punishment, you can see my little Flickr set.

. . . And with that, I’m off to cook artichokes. And then crash.

  • Thank you so much for sharing! I want to see that safey pin pin.
  • Ah. You've captured it. There's just something about getting a bunch of crafty people together that brings out the smiles, isn't there? Only wish I could have stayed longer.

*sigh* I always miss the good stuff.

    LOL

That looks like it was a lot of fun!

You guys rule so, so much. Thank you all for all you do! XOXO
  • Diane, it was so nice to meet you today. I'm sorry I had to run but I hope we can continue (or start) a craft conversation. I'm actually working on a story about the business of blogging for Yarn Market News and I'd love to interview you, if you're game. I can't wait to visit PDX again. The party was faboo.
