Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Spool-Knitting Crafts & the NYT

. . . I sure am given to these hodgepodge posts lately.

My post this week over at CraftStylish tells you how to make three little projects from spool-knitting: this flower pin, a memory-wire bracelet, and a pen cozy. Go check it out!

. . . Speaking of spool-knitting, look at this. This little horse, a gift from Laura at the last Church of Craft, is constructed from spool-knit cord. There’s no wire inside, but you could totally insert some big, soft copper wire into the cord and make all kinds of bendy animal and people shapes. Wish I had time to noodle with this!

Lastly, take a look at this post on the New York Times blog, which references both CraftyPod and Extreme Craft’s Garth Johnson. Now there’s one for my mom’s refrigerator!
