Further proof that Portland has one of the coolest library systems on the planet: the annual Zinesters Talking festival kicks off tomorrow night.
Each year, several Multnomah County library branches host evenings with local zine-makers. They read from their work and have a little Q&A with the audience. It’s a great thing – and they even had a crafty zinester event last year.
This year’s lineup is great as well. The topics range from Zinester’s Guide to Portland to eating locally to riding public transit to mini comics and more. In fact, I’m thrilled that K. and I are presenting our Citizeen project at one of these!
You can get details on the whole series over here.

oh my gosh, I clicked thru to your zine’s LIBRARY RECORD. Do you realise how awesome that is? I am speaking in hushed tones, with goosebumps!
