I worry sometimes about this little blog. I feel like I should be posting more of my craft stuff here, but Man! Even though I’m crafting my butt off these days, I can’t show you any of it. Sort of a good problem to have.
Anyway, here’s something I can show you – I’ll be teaching eight classes in Recycled Book Purse-making at library branches around town soon. I’m happy with how my prototypes came out! There are definitely cooler and more complicated versions of this craft available online, but this version is well-suited to a two-hour class involving multiple glue guns and limited electrical outlet access.
Locals, if you’re interested, check the Library’s Event Finder for dates and times. (Search “recycled book” from Nov 1 – Dec 15.) You have to register to get a seat, but it’s free and all materials are provided. Because our Library system rocks.

. . . Just for fun, here’s a project I hope to teach in the new year. (Did I just say “new year” out loud?) It’s a fabric collage pendant. Miles away from what I was seeing in my head, but I like the results.
