Got some cool stuff for you today:

The uber-talented Garth Johnson (of Extreme Craft fame) is working on a book, and he’s looking for interesting examples of things made from repurposed, reused, or recycled materials. If you make stuff like this – whether it be paper, clothing, housewares, jewelry, or others, you should consider submitting your work. Get all the details over here.

If you’re feeling a little strapped for cash – or, feeling like you, er, might find yourself strapped for cash sometime in the impending future, then definitely check out Dollar Store Crafts. It’s the brainchild of Heather Mann (of CROQ Zine fame.) Great, inexpensive ideas abound over there – like this $5.00 no-sew candy costume for Halloween.

Locals, if you’re free Saturday, you can attend an awesome crafty Obama fundraiser, hosted by Josh and Sarah (of the Obama Craft Project fame.) You’ll need to register here, making a $10.00 donation or more. Then, bring a t-shirt, tote, or other item, and you can screen print it with a cool Obama graphic. Josh and Sarah are providing the screens and ink. Get more info over here.

  • Thanks for the shout out!
  • Can't wait to submit something for Garth's book! Sad I won't be able to make an Obama tote in Portland.
  • Curses! There's no way I can get to Portland by tomorrow!

I wish they would do that here.
