It's a chainette, so like a long string of chain stitches, with both metallic and non metallic. It comes in several sizes, so check out their website (http://www.rainbowgallery.com). Kreinik's thicker braids (16 & 32) would be all metallic cords, so they would have more sparkle, not too much more for some of the colors, and they would have that rounded look.
