Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Being There for Each Other

hopeforjasenn

One of the many things about this online craft community that I love dearly is the fact that, in hard times, we help each other.

Linda, who many of you know from Adorn Magazine, CraftStylish, and Crochet Today Magazine, is raising funds for her family. Her brother in law was recently diagnosed with stage IV kidney cancer. He can’t go back to work, and he and Linda’s sister have a small baby.

So, Linda has created the Hope For Jasenn Etsy Shop, and crafters from all over have donated items for sale. 100% of the profits will go directly to Jasenn and his family.

If you’re looking for handmade holiday gifts, why not choose something from the shop? Not only will you give a nice gift, you’ll be helping someone who needs it.

There’s a ton of good things on offer, and the shop will be open through December 15th.

You can also make a donation through Linda’s blog. So – as an added incentive, I’ll give a Christmas zine to the first five people who donate at least $10.00, and forward me the donation confirmation email.

Thanks for being part of the community!
