Well, the podcast is still late, so I better have a giveaway to distract you! Chronicle Books sent me this craft pad of iron-on transfers from Sukie. And it’s ten kinds of awesome.

There are 30 pages of iron-ons here, which range from the unbelievably cute…

…To the rather odd.

You can transfer ‘em to tees, onsies, totes, linens, and whatever else you can dream up. Those owls are killing me!

Okay, so – let’s keep this one short, so I’ll have time to ship it. Leave a comment on this post, telling me how you’d use this bad-boy, by noon PST tomorrow, December 9th. We’ll do a random drawing.
I’ll ship to the winner on December 10th, so most US locations should be able to receive it in time for Christmas. (International readers, you’re most welcome to enter, but I can’t make any promises on holiday delivery.)
Now – if you don’t win, or you just want to score one of these pads, the Chronicle Friends and Family Sale has been extended through Wednesday. 35% off, and free shipping! Just enter the coupon code FRIENDS at checkout.

UPDATE: Congrats to Lynn Judge! I just emailed you for your address. Woo-Hoo!

I’m pregnant with my 2nd child and I wanted to make some onesies for the new baby and do projects with my 2 year old (let him pick what he wants on a shirt or bag and I iron them on for him). Other iron on’s might turn into spur-of-the-moment gifts for friends far away who might need cheering up.

I’m thinking a little t-shirt for my girls…the nuts, with “I’m a little nutty.”
And oh so many more sayings are popping into my head!

They would have to go on t-shirts, canvas bags and wall art for me. They are awesome!

I would make some good old fashioned cusions for my sofa, people would be so busy admiring them they would not notice the mess my cat’s claws have left on the arms!

Those little owls would make really great finger puppets to entertain the kiddies… I’ve never said this in my life, but this book could make me want to pump some iron…

I’m intrigued by the possibilities of using iron-on transfers as the basis of needlepoint projects. I’d like to use this book to figure out how to do it well.
Not only what kind of patterns work best, but also the best way to transfer it onto canvas and what to do with it once that is done.
I’d love to get this book because these designs have the right proportion of detail to make them good for the experiments.
And besides they are just too darn cute!

I wanted to get my dad a long sleeve hemp t-shirt for christmas, and the only one they had left at Master Peace in his size was plain black. So I’d love to slap an iron-on on there to make it more interesting. Those look so fun, and I’m sure my dad would like something in there… especially one of the odd ones.

I’m thinking I could decorate some t-shirts for the boy :)

Oh, oh, me me me! Hi my name is Carrie and I’m addicted to owls. I would put them on little fabric coasters or stuffie fabric magnets. Or make the bigger ones into stuffies, like the trees. I have a toddler and she would like them. I’m already training her into my addiction to owls. These look so fun, they remind me of old children’s book illustations from the 60′s. Thanks for the giveaway!
