Mixed feelings these days. . .
On the one hand, the 14 inches of snow currently blanketing Portland is lovely. If you like, you can see some winter splendor from our neighborhood over here.
On the other hand, I’ve been mostly housebound for just over a week, and this is starting to have bad effects on my motivation.
Yesterday, our beloved Tri-Met system even succumbed to the storm, stopping a good chunk of train and bus service. Which makes me feel a little spooked and vulnerable.
And more snow predicted on Christmas Eve and Day?!
Hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel: Sunday is predicted to be partly sunny and 46 – melting weather! Perhaps Pushkin and I can do some of this then.
Yeah, I feel like I should be delighted to have this time to focus on work and be quiet and reflective, but truth is, I just have cabin fever . . .

I’m getting stir-crazy too. I’m sure I’ve spent more time staring out the window at the snow the past few days, than actually working on any craft projects.

As I am living on an island in the middle of the Baltic sea, where The airplains can not fly in misty weather, the ferrys can not sail in storms and where my town gets totally isolated in snow. I have taken the attitude that it is not me, but the rest of the world that is isolated. Then it is much nicer.
With the hope of a nice christmas for you

Oh my gosh, your kitty looks almost exactly like my late kitty Marley (named long before that stupid Marley dog book came out) right down to the notch in the ear. That’s so cool!

Wow, yeah we just got another several inches last night…Argh! White Christmas = cool, but snowed in and missing turkey and family = NOT cool….

from your tweets it doesn’t sound like you’ve been liberated yet. Sounds like you and K are having fun anyway. I am jealous of the snow, but it’s a ‘snow is always whiter’ thing I guess. You can always come down here for a January beach holiday if you like!

That is one fatty little robin, definitely fluffed up to help stay warm. Hope you and K are staying warm in all that snow!
