Thanks for a great podcast! I’m going backwards and catching up. I’m especially interested in talks about craft as a career and in business…how to balance your passion for the craft while trying to make it a day job. Love all the great advice and Kim is a great motivator in speaking as well :P

Excellent show!!!! You were both awesome! I’ve come away feeling like you asked all questions that needed asking …thanks. And Kim, you are brilliant…really brilliant. I’ve have been stumbling along trying to make a living as a crafter, and it’s taken me years to start to get all the things you mentioned in a nutshell….you really do have a handle on what it takes to make a living as a crafter (or in my case a dyer)….

This was an excellent podcast, thank you for putting it together. This is the first time I’ve been to your website (I found you on futuregirl.com). The interview was awesome (both your questions and the responses) and so freaking motivating! Kim’s next career move should probably be motivational speaking. :)

I’m so glad I made the time to listen to this one. Kim confirmed a lot of thoughts that I had about how to improve my business, and how to change things to move with the new economy. I also really appreciate her perspective on not always “finishing” things, although in the case of Kim’s work at the magazine, I see her moving on as just that (moving on) and not as quitting anything, or neglecting to finish something. It’s great that she trusts herself well enough to take a step forward.

This was fantastic, it really gave me a lot to think about. I like the look of the patterns in the book too, I’m just learning to crochet properly at the moment, so I’m on the look-out for patterns that will inspire me.

Oh, and I especially loved the link to Gary Vaynerchuk – I’ve just spent more than an hour watching videos on his site.

I’ve been super slack in listening for a while … but I’m glad I made time for this one! She says a lot of the things I’ve been waiting for someone to say, plus a million and one other great things.

I think it’s awesome that she can be such a great example of knowing yourself and acting accordingly. Not everyone’s a starter, or an idea man, or a finisher and the trick is to know what you are.

Thanks again for such a great podcast, Diane. I can only imagine how much work goes into one of these!

What an excellent interview. Some really interesting questions and equally inspiring answers.

Kim has a distinct way of inspiring the listener to push oneself beyond their safety zone and experiment with their capabilities.

I know I’ve been thinking seriously about some of these issues you covered and Kim has confirmed my thoughts that my decisions are the right ones for me.

Well done – a thoroughly enjoyable show.
