		<description>Those actually aren&#039;t gourds... gourds are in the cucumber family and these grow on trees.  I saw them a lot when I lived in the Dominican Republic.  Wish I knew what they really are though.  They have to scoop out the inside and then scrape off the soft skin on the outside to make the design.  The bigger ones were often used as buckets and pails in my village.  I&#039;ve actually made one myself - it&#039;s fun!  Thanks for a trip down memory lane...</description>

I&#039;ve really been thinking that it&#039;s about time to cut up some of my old sweaters and use the applique some of my other old sweaters.  Hopefully, I can achieve some kind of Huxtable-Hipness hybrid that won&#039;t scare away too many people. . .</description>
