I struck plastic-canvas gold on a recent visit to The Knittn’ Kitten with Adoxograph. I have a few treasures to share, the first of which is Toys, Games, & Frames (Copyright 1981 from Plaid). By its condition, I’d say it’s been loved a whole lot.

…And what’s not to love? Can you guess what’s inside these doorstops? That’s right – BRICKS! Can you imagine trying to wrangle plastic canvas around a brick? Ultimate knuckle-rasp.

Why play Tic Tac Toe on mere scrap paper when you can have a fabulous handcrafted set of X’s and O’s? And, you have to love checkers that can’t roll away from you.

Seriously, what other craft medium would afford you a game board, and game pieces, and dice cups? Heck I woulda gone for broke and made the dice, too.

Look closely, and you’ll see that this lion is constructed from three plastic canvas hexagons, connected together. That’s no small feat of PC-engineering, my friends.
I am pleased to announce it here first: the advent of plastic canvas amigurumi. :-)

Indeed.
