I struck plastic-canvas gold on a recent visit to The Knittn’ Kitten with Adoxograph. I have a few treasures to share, the first of which is Toys, Games, & Frames (Copyright 1981 from Plaid). By its condition, I’d say it’s been loved a whole lot.

…And what’s not to love? Can you guess what’s inside these doorstops? That’s right – BRICKS! Can you imagine trying to wrangle plastic canvas around a brick? Ultimate knuckle-rasp.

Why play Tic Tac Toe on mere scrap paper when you can have a fabulous handcrafted set of X’s and O’s? And, you have to love checkers that can’t roll away from you.

Seriously, what other craft medium would afford you a game board, and game pieces, and dice cups? Heck I woulda gone for broke and made the dice, too.

Look closely, and you’ll see that this lion is constructed from three plastic canvas hexagons, connected together. That’s no small feat of PC-engineering, my friends.
I am pleased to announce it here first: the advent of plastic canvas amigurumi. :-)

Indeed.

One of your earlier posts on plastic canvas reminded me of the material and gave me a great solution to a problem project I had The result came out wonderfully. Photo here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ninthraven/3177943692/

Oooh. These are so funny. Those brick doorstops – I’ve seen the likes in person. And the turtle – is it a box?
I took some pictures of a few pc Christmas ornaments when I was helping my parents un-decorate their tree. Will post them to my blog soon.

I still say I’m coming over for a backgammon night as soon as you finish the board… and you know you want to do the dice, too

Oh, come ON! Stop it! Look at these!
How do we clean these? Just rinse them and dry? I would imagine we could have a whole room of furniture like this!
The only problem is, when I get cranky, I slam doors and drawers. What if I tried to slam a PC drawer?
well.
I guess I’ll have to change my attitude won’t I ?

Wow, what is the matter with me. I–I think I actually like that rainbow brick cover.
