Here’s this week’s CraftStylish tutorial – making a dead-simple quilt from two thrifted sheets and a blanket.
This is not only a recycling project, it’s a very easy intro to quilting. I made this one over the course of one and a half Audrey Hepburn movies, without a lot of work-space or a fancy sewing machine. If you think a quilt is too big an undertaking, go take a look and give this a try!
And I’m happy to report, it’s Pushkin’s new favorite lounging-spot.

Now that’s a quilting project I can get my head around! Nice tutorial, Diane.

This is a great little tutorial – thanks! I have fancier projects in mind, but right now I may start with this.

This is exactly how my mom would make us quilts (although she would go the traditional route for others … ha!) We would have 1-foot-square pieced tops, but otherwise, the whole thing was just the same. Great idea for a tutorial!

I have always been afraid of doing a full-scale quilt because I have this nagging sense that I wouldn’t finish it – bad craft mojo! But this is just easy enough to allay my fears. Thanks for sharing it. =)

ok, I’ll admit it . . . I haven’t even flipped over to the tutorial yet because I want to know which Audrey Hepburn movies you watched! Some of that just has to seem into the quilt, doesn’t it?

Thanks so much for the great tutorial! I’ve had a quilt project in mind for a little while but not had the stones to tackle it. This might be the push I need!
