Whew! You just let me know when you’re sick of hearing about CHA, okay?
In case you have a truly insatiable appetite, I’m also posting some reviews of other interesting new products I saw at the show. Those are over at CraftStylish. Thus far I’ve reviewed:

The Yudu, from Provo Craft – an all-in-one home screen printer.

The Kaleidoscope Kreator, which is wicked-cool software for making patterned fabric and paper.

Artfelt, from Skacel – a simplified process for painting with fiber and making all kinds of felted projects.
The links take you to the awesome….

I read your review of the Yudu on craftstylish and I’m wondering: is this our answer to the death of the beloved Print Gocco?
My fear is that they’ll discontinue this thing in the next year or so and we’ll be in the same supply-hungry spot we’re in right now for Gocco.
Also, based on the description at HSN, this thing is *huge* — 32×22 inches?! Was it really that big? Do you know if it’s also heavy? I wonder if they’re considering going head-to-head with Gocco and making a smaller size. Hrm.

Excellent resources. Very excited about the roving and the kaleidoscope software.

yes, my thoughts exactly about the yudu, it seems like a big print gocco. not that i’m complaining.

I want a Yudu. I always thought the Gocco was a little small . . . those wacky Japanese and their cute tiny things! This is America! We need a GIANT silkscreen thingie! For big t-shirts and custom SUV covers! Eeeek!
(please note: while this post includes some sarcasm, but I am really very excited to buy one of those Yudu things, as my passion is printing on fabric, and I’ve been looking for a simple silkscreening solution . . .and big is good in my book)

oh, I just read about these at craftstylish but now I can see that screen from the yudu software.
wait a minute… you are going to print on fabric, too? That was MY idea!

i watched the demo: if you’re used to screenprinting, this probably looks easier & neater.
but if you’re used to gocco, this looks like -so- much more time & margin for error: i could have had shirts/cards printed on gocco in just the time it takes the screen to dry after applying the emulsion. at least it looks like you can save the emulsion/screen after all that effort. :)
i guess it only mattered when gocco was still a viable or competitive option, though. *sob*
