Happy Friday! Wrapping up this week with some links to stuff I’ve had going on elsewhere…

First, a little Valentine’s Day project tutorial I have on CraftStylish. What do you think of these little necktie hearts?

… And then a how-to project for pets: this is a collapsible travel dish for food and water, made from oilcloth. It involves a little origami and a little sewing. Pushkin proves here that it works. :-)

I was also honored to be invited to write a post about that infamous indie crafter report for Hello Craft. The angle is a little different than my original post – at Hello Craft, I focused on the two details that the report got right.

And in case you’ve noticed, I am now officially a week late with the new CraftyPod Podcast. I have a lovely interview recorded with a very patient fiber artist, who’s been awfully kind about waiting while I put together a series of CHA podcasts for CraftStylish.
We’re just working out some technical stuff on those now, and you should see them on the site very soon. And then things will return to their normal podcasting schedule.
… With that, I wish you a Happy Weekend!

i’m finally getting to blogs i love, and i have to tell you, I read the tutorial for this valentine’s tie heart to my partner yesterday and we both just loved the heck out of it. there’s a lot of crafts she doesn’t get, that she thinks are dumb or icky, but yours always make perfect functional sense to her and look fabulous to boot and like fun to make, so i’ve learned that if i want to read a tutorial to her, it better be one of yours. now she understands why i have to go get dozens of ties at the thrift store.
wait. you mean, you DON’T read craft tutorials aloud to K?
hmmmm….
