Wooo-Hoooo! I scored these amazing Czech glass buttons on my last visit to The Knittn’ Kitten, and have been waiting for some decent light to photograph them. That happened, fleetingly, today! So, check out my buttons!
Ethel had so many different styles of these things, all gorgeous. It was not easy narrowing myself down to these four styles.
What am I going to make with these? Well, that’s not really the point….
These have a pink pearlescence that I can’t seem to capture in a photo. So, imagine it there.

Wait a minute… I have to be LOCAL to get these? This really gripes me!
Here’s what I would do if I had them… I would press them into polymer clay tiles before baking them. Then I would shade the tile imprints with pearlex. So, there. Also, wouldn’t they be cool in sugar cookies? I mean, the imprint. And have you seen Coraline? WEren’t the buttons spooky?!? When I think of buttons, I think of that movie, now. It was incredible.
Then, of course, after imprinting with them, I would sew them onto puffy hearts or combine them to make button bracelets or hair clips.
Okay, I’m going over to the Kitten and I’m going to ask them how much it’ll cost me for them to send me a pound. And if they give me any trouble, I’m going to mention your name.
Oh, I bet they send me as much as I want, then!!
