Rachel has put out a call to crafters to help out this adorable boy, Ike, who is currently in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Dell Children’s Hospital, recovering from an operation in which he received a tracheostomy. Poor little guy, and his family, have had a very hard road.
Ike was born 13 weeks early, and has had many medical issues as a result. Sadly, Ike’s father was recently laid off from his job, which leaves the family in a perilous position in terms of health insurance.
Please check out the Ike-a-Saurus website, which details a lot of ongoing fundraising efforts to help support this family. Can you offer some help?
Or, if you have handmade items to donate, or other ideas for raising money, please contact Rachel. You can also check out her blog post, which has lots of other ideas for participating.
I’ve said it before: it’s one of the most beautiful things about our community – the support we offer those in need.

Thank you so much, Diane, for posting! I really appreciate it. I’ve been blown away by the support, and it’s been a beautiful example in how every.little.bit. helps – it’s overwhelming!
Thank you! :)
