Today is the release day for Button It Up, the latest book by my dear friend Susan! To celebrate, let’s have a giveaway….
To enter to win a copy, leave a comment here and tell me about your all-time favorite buttons. I’ll take entries until noon PST on Wednesday, March 4th. Then I’ll draw one winner at random. International readers, you are welcome to enter.
The book is already getting great reviews. Here’s mine, and Sarah’s, and the Portland Mercury’s.
And, best of all, March is Button It Up Month on CraftStylish! Button-related tutorials, all month long. I can’t wait!

UPDATE: Congratulations to Oona B, who won the book! I’m emailing you now for your address…

My favorite buttons are in my mom’s collection and they are from the 1940s. They are big navy blue circles with red and white nautical anchors on them. I love and covet them!
Am I on time???? Hope I am!
My favourite buttons were made of plastic and they wer shaped little trains. I had them in a knitted jacket my mother made when I as a little girl :-)

My favorite buttons are in my favorite button tin – it used to be my Gran’s. I remember how much I loved the tin as a child – it was the ultimate treasure box. My mom had all sorts of wonderful buttons – old ones, itsy-bitsy ones for baby items (a no-no today, I know) and wonderful fancy ones. I loved to open the tin and sort them all – still do today. Nothing like the sound of sloshing buttons about to take your mind off the troubles of the day.
