…Coming to you from a low-grade fever today. Bleh. But I did want to share that I have a little mending tutorial up on the CRAFT blog this week.
That pink polo you see there has been in my closet for a while now. Perfect color, perfect thing to throw on all summer long. Only last summer, I picked up something sharp and tore a hole in the front.
So, on CRAFT you can see how I resurrected it with cheerful reverse appliques.
These days, I’m liking any project that lets me get another season out of clothes! A few other faves from Mending Month on CRAFT: Andrea Dunlap’s ingenious crochet patches (crocheted right onto your sweater), Susan’s fixing broken jewelry tutorial, and Becky Stern’s sandal-mending tutorial.

Love this – my sewing room floor is covered with items awaiting a quick refashion . . . . hope you feel better soon!

Here’s hoping you get better ASAP!

Feel better soon, Diane. I’ve got a chair full of clothes that need mending. Maybe I should get off my behind and start doing it! Thanks for the visual tutorial, it really looks great.

I love the reverse applique idea so much more than a basic patch. It makes mending so much more creative and less of a chore. I may just get some done.

Any excuse to do reverse appliqué! Looks like it was there from day one! Great idea for repairing clothes. Bet it would work well on denim items too.
GET SOME REST! And get better soon. You have a huge weekend coming up.
