In this show:

- The comments on this post tell me that the number one question folks have about craft blogging is, “What should I write about?” So this podcast attempts to answer that question.

- Learn why your blog is not really about you, and what it should be about instead.

- Understand why passion and value are two key elements of a great craft blog.

  • I very much enjoyed listening to this... thank you.
  • Hi Sister Diane, this was a great podcast, I learned some valuable tips and am inspired to keep on blogging after being somewhat disheartened by declining hits and comments. I'm going to try some new approaches and will be back here often to hear what else you have to say about blogging!
  • Thank you for the podcast. Very interesting.
  • After listening to tis podcast, I tried a couple times to write a comment but could never find words to say what I wanted to say. This morning, I was replying to an e-mail from Gail (thatartistwoman - one of the most passionate people I know) - about the fact that I had sent her a note at 3:00 AM. I realized that it pretty much said what I wanted to say to you about this post!

"Yes thank you, I slept much better last night! Not sleeping sometimes is really all Diane's fault! Ever since she started me blogging last fall, my brain has a hard time turning off! If I should awake at night for any reason - I am so done! The brain kicks in to high gear thinking up stuff. I used to write it all down in the dark (got very good at writing in the dark by the way) but kept waking up my hubby with all that "noise"! So - it just makes more sense to get up and go with it! So - it's not a bad thing - I love where my mind goes at three in the morning! It's so funny - her current post is all about finding your passion (as the source of your blogging) - She is the one that pointed me to mine - she knew where my passions lay before I did! And now, I'm so passionate I can't sleep!"

You have pointed me toward my passions and taught me how to share them through blogging. And my life is so much richer. Thank you. I love you. Mom.
  • GODFREY DANIELS, this is SO AWESOME!!

I'm going to listen to this right NOW. I haven't downloaded it from iTunes, yet! I will stay at work as long as I have to to hear all of it.
