How to Make Cute Candy Sachets

Here’s another guest tutorial – this time on Dabbled. (I’m one of several bloggers covering for the uber-talented Dot while she’s on vacation this week.)

This little drawer sachet project came to life when I was noodling around with some woven squares. I was using some variegated Sugar n’ Cream, which wove up to look a lot like Fruit Stripe Gum. (Raise your hand if you remember.)

Anyway, that gave me the idea to turn the squares into candy-shaped drawer sachets. They pack plenty of fragrance, but they’re nice and compact and not too frilly.

Want to make some? The how-to is over here.

i love fruit stripe gum! it has zebra tattoos on the wrapper!
  • those look really pretty and there are so many colour combinations you could use for them to match any décor

Thank you! Yeah, I'm scheming on making some with solid-color yarn
now, and maybe adding a little embroidery...

I just want to say that I enjoy all the great creativity on your blog! You could adapt this project to make some catnip candy for Pushkin! Just use catnip oil or add some dried catnip and sew the bows so they don't come loose. My cats love to play with toys made from cotton yarn!

Thanks so much, Debbie! And, thanks for the great idea on the
variation for Pushkin. He'd totally love a toy like this!
