Beating the Heat…

Yesterday, K. and I headed downtown in search of air conditioning, and stopped at Summer Arts on Main to say hi to a couple friends.

It’s been horribly hot in PDX. So we were stoked to score these koozies for all the cold drinks we’re chugging. They’re from Merritt at PDX Softgoods.

I’m still kicking myself for not having a camera with me. When you pick out your koozie, Merritt will machine embroider your name or phrase on the back!

(She’s awesome at it, too – see those little flowers dotting the I’s?)

K. wanted a very manly koozie. I think the combination of the Bruce Lee patch and the “Kung-Fu Katin” on the back accomplishes that mission. :-)

OOh – and I scored a bunch of my favorite Scrumptious Suds soap, handmade by Jackie. Mmmmmm… Mojito soap.

You can catch both of these talented women at lots of shows this summer.

I love Jackie's Scrumptious Suds soap too. I have a nice new bar sitting in my soap dish right now!

OMG! It's been SOOOO hot here! At work, it seems to be mandatory protocol to start each discussion about how amazingly hot it's been.... my craft room is upstairs, so this has NOT been good for my crafting lately!!!!
  • I haven't seen holders like that since I was a kid and people wee using them to keep their beer cold around the fire. I thought people had stopped using them :)

really cool about getting the names on the back :D
