Say Hello to Parasol•Craft!

…Speaking of indie publishing, there’s a brand-new online craft magazine, and it’s amazing. Parasol•Craft is a sister magazine to Parasol, which many of you already know and love.

Both projects come from the talented mind of Yasmine Surovec, who also blogs at A Print A Day. Yasmine has curated a really wide-ranging and fresh craft mag – 111 pages, loaded with great content.

Including, lots of extra goodies! The Snow White and Rose Red dolls you see above? There are templates you can print onto fabric and a tutorial to make your own. There’s also a coordinating digital scrapbooking kit. And a tutorial for making brushes in Adobe Illustrator. And, embroidery templates!

The issue also has interviews with 22 crafters and designers. (Oh- and one of those is me!) One thing I really loved about Parasol•Craft was how many interesting new talents I discovered in its pages. Like Doodle Bird Designs, pictured above.

I think Yasmine has made a great digital magazine. The layout is beautiful, and very clean for screen-reading. And I love all the clickable links! It’s a huge value for just $2.50. (Parasol, by the way, is still free.)

You can get more of a preview and all the details over here.

See...this is exactly what I was talking about yesterday. My hard drive is already exploding with the crafty goodness, but how am I supposed to resist 112 pages of fun for $2.50?! GAH. Inner turmoil.
