I think I mentioned an epic plastic canvas haul from Amy… well here’s part one: this pile of PC magazines!
Oh, so much PC goodness here. There’s a lot of Christmas stuff I’m going to save for later, but here are some non-seasonal favorites:

I’m not suggesting you make this, necessarily, But what if, as you were looking at this picture, I whispered “Dalek” in your ear?

This is, hands down, my very favorite PC tissue-box cover of all time. Pipe cleaner rails on the top? OMG!

I had originally thought these were faux candles, but in fact, they’re candle covers – as the copy says, “Keep your favorite candles dust-free.”
Wow.

Alice, I can feel your longing from here. :-)

I don’t often wish I still had a car, but….
Those are sequins forming the dots, by the way.

In all seriousness, I see potential here. I’m considering making a taller one for my desk, to house my paperclips, pushpins, and such.

If I had a copy of Photoshop right now. I would so have superimposed my head on this picture.
UPDATE: Heh heh – Rachel has Photoshop, and looky what she did!

That's truly awesome. I hope you're planning to start the first church of plastic canvas… Portland's the right place. You could use those candle holders on the PC altar.
Heh. Heh heh. Don't tempt me like that… :-)
that tissue cozy is amazing. and turning the tissues on their side? such genius!
Keep in mind that paperclips and pushpins might get snagged in the yarn of those drawers. My Gram used to make loads of Christmas ornaments out of these plastic canvases.
I seriously love your obsession with this stuff. You should add a chapter to your new book called “get a kooky obsession”.:-) Seriously though, I do love it. Don't go changin'.
Longing doesn't even BEGIN to describe how I feel! And, if you send me that image and an appropriate photo of you with an appropriate head, I can work some Photoshop magic for you. Guaranteed.
So, Diane, if you ever start taking PC commissions, I'm first in line for an RV tissue holder. Wow–phenomenal.
Hi Sister Diane!
Firstly, thanks for the Dalek comment. It made my boyfriend laugh at a time when he really needed it. Secondly, candle covers?! So you can take really good care of your favourite candles, right up until the point where you burn it, BURN IT!
You got it, Sarah ! You'll be the first. :-)

that peacock is really wonderful, would look great if the feathers were all different colours :)
As I read this post, I saw the candle covers and actually said, “Wow.” aloud. Then I read that you wrote “Wow.” Ha! I guess that's just a universal sentiment when confronted by the candle covers.
Meanwhile… I hardly recognize you as a blonde! ;)
Oh wow – I hadn't quite realised the full potential of plastic canvas! Love the peacock! And those drawers get my mind ticking ….
dalek!?
CANDLE COSIES???
haw!
I so can see a Dalek with that pepper pot shaped lady. Wouldn't be to much of a stretch to do a lovely Blue Policebox/TARDIS in plastic canvas either. You must show us what you end up making.
HAHAHA – that last picture is *so* you, and I am completely smitten with that tissue box cover. Hilarious and awesome!

I've been looking for a peacock in PC for my niece FOREVER…Where can I find the pattern for this one, it's awesome, but them to me ALL pc is awesome…I eat, sleep, and breathe PC…Thanks for any help….
CAT
Hi, Cathy – Hmmm… the magazine is really old, so I'm not sure where/if the pattern is still being sold. But take a look at this search result: http://bit.ly/b1a6ih Maybe that will help?
How can I get a copy of your peacock plastic canvas pattern –
My grandmother had your pattern until someone decided to throw stuff away she would like to have it again. She wants to finish the peacock.
It’s not actually my pattern, Malinda – it’s from a several-years-old copy of one of these magazines. I’ll need to scan and find out which one. Then you’d need to see if that back issue was available from the publisher.
