Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Craft Blog Tune-Up: An New Online Course

I’m excited to share this – I’m diving into the world of online courses!

…And I’m offering a pilot class next month: Craft Blog Tune-Up. It’s a three-week class, designed to examine your blog and bump it up to the next level. Here’s what we’ll cover:

Week One: How Your Blog Reads

  • Understanding how people read blogs
  • Making your blog more “scannable” in a crowded blogosphere
  • Adding more value to your blog content
  • Keeping the content flowing during the busiest time of the year

Week Two: How Your Blog Looks

  • Simple Photography tune-ups
  • Layout tune-ups: using templates better
  • Custom headers and how to maximize them
  • Using those sidebars

Week Three: How Your Blog Engages

  • Making the most of comments
  • Making the most of links
  • Having a conversation with your audience
  • Reaching out to new readers

Each class will involve a private podcast, blog posts, and forum discussions. We’ll also have a group chat or two, and then I’ll schedule a one-on-one phone or email consultation with you so we can discuss ways you can tune up your blog.

This all takes place October 12 – 30. Since it’s an online class, you get to participate when you have the time each week.

And, it’s just $30.00. (That’s an introductory kind of price – I’ll also be asking for your input on how the class went overall, so I can keep improving it.)

Want in? I’m only taking eight students for this one, so sign up soon! You can do it right over here.
