Gossamer Thread Trees, Re-Imagined

by Sister-Diane on December 1, 2009

in Ebooks, Holiday Crafts

So all my fellow Crafty Tree Trimmings collaborators will be having a fun week this week – we’re each making one ornament from the ebook and blogging about the experience.

I had to share Susan’s take on my little Gossamer Thread Trees! Aren’t they cute? She added two new twists to my how-to: she painted on a final coat of Sparkle Mod Podge, and she made those cute little star toppers.

For me, the best thing about designing projects is seeing how other people interpret them. I can’t wait to see what the rest of our group comes up with this week!

…And, just a note – the ebook is only available through December 31st, so do hurry and order yours. We’re thrilled with the response so far, and excited to generate a nice donation for Project Linus. Can you help?

Thank YOU, Marion! And Happy One Year to The Sister Project!
  • I'm going to feature the book on my blog again. My one reader still hasn't ordered it because she's a slacker!

    was that negative?

    I love these gossamer trees.

Leave it to Susan to put the crafty icing on the cake - er - tree! Glitter Mod Podge? Brilliant! And the tree topper - adds the perfect touch of holiday whimsy.

I love this idea of all of you making projects from the book to share. And I am thrilled that so many, many people are ordering "Crafty Tree Trimmings". It is so beautifully written and illustrated - and where else can you sit down with a steaming cup of cocoa and make holiday ornaments with six of our favorite crafty geniuses!
