Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

Great podcast! So nice to hear about the journey of starting a blog and how it's actually help to create a regimen for your mom!

  • SisterDiane

Thank you, Linda! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Diane! You ARE and editing genius! I love how beautifully you put this together. And I loved sharing this whole interview with you! Lots of fun, lots of laughter, lots of good memories!

And once again, thank you for leading me back to myself. And teaching me how to blog. And introducing me to so many amazing and delightful people who inhabit the crafting community.

    I love you.

  • SisterDiane

    Aw… *grins and blushes*

    I love you too, Mom!

  • Thanks, this was great! I listened while I cut out quilt blocks.

  • I finally had some quiet time and a chance to listen to this beautiful podcast. Thanks for bringing your mum to our ears as well as our hearts and computers. She sounds just as I imagined! It was so fun to hear the interaction between the two of you two talented ladies.

  • SisterDiane

Thank you, Joan – I'm so glad you liked it. It's been wonderful
watching Mom dig into blogging, and I knew crafters would love her
approach to things, and her genuine enthusiasm. As I do! :-)

  • Such a fun listen! Pam, I have to say you've taken to blogging like a duck to water… your enjoyment of what you do comes through with every post, just like Diane. I'm astounded that you have the year ahead already planned out! (And here I feel all smug when I have the next week's posts ready…. which doesn't happen too often.) Now we just need to get you on Twitter! :-)

  • SisterDiane

Heh – I think Twitter is out of the question for now. But boy, would
    it be fun! Maybe someday…

Thanks for the comment, Ann! I'm glad you liked it!

I really enjoyed listening to you talk with your mom. It brings back so many good memories for me of crocheting, doing plastic canvas projects and baking with my mom when I was a new mother. My holidays are bittersweet because mom has been battling Alzheimer's for about 6 years. I miss her. Listening to your show helped me remember the good times. Thanks to both of you.

  • SisterDiane

Oh, Jan. Your comment had me tearing up. I am so sorry to hear about your mother's battle, and honored that the show brought you back some happy memories. I'm sending you hugs.

  • YAY! I’ve been waiting for this one! I’m going to listen tonight during my sewing time. Can’t wait!

Oh! Everyone had such great questions. I wish I'd thought of them. :) As always, I loved this podcast. You guys account for 87% of my Christmas fun, and you sure do earn your share! Pam, your voice, rhythm, and sayings are *exactly* like one of my favorite relatives. It's like Diane is my long-lost crafty cousin and you are my wonderful, long-lost Aunt. Merry Christmas, you guys!

  • I was looking for something to listen to this morning and decided to listen to this again-it's one of my favorite CraftyPods. Then I realized I never came back and left my post-listening comment. I was THRILLED that you used my question. Yay! I loved learning about Pam's background, her art classes and her urge to make. And I *LOVED* hearing her say that after reading, craft is one of the most important thing to teach their kids. And I agree that anyone can do it- even if they think they aren't crafty. Kids remember!

I am so blown away and inspired by Pam's planning. Wow. That's something I'm working on for 2010. I'll be thinking of her as I hash out my weekly planning sessions.

I just loved listening to this interview!

  • SisterDiane

Aw, I am SO sending this comment to Mom! It'll make her smile big… :-)

  • Colleen

I am finally catching up on listening to podcasts, and was delighted to hear the new one with your mum! The first Crafty Pod episode I ever listened to was #81, also with your mum, and I was hooked! She's great, and you two are great together. Please continue to interview her every year!

  • SisterDiane

Thank you so much, Colleen! It's definitely becoming a tradition… :-)
