Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

More Archive-Along: Rachel helps you back up your Tweets

archive_along_banner_450

Rachel has more Archive-Along goodness today – a post about backing up your tweets on Twitter.

You may not think these little 140-character posts are worth backing up. Well, here’s Rachel’s well-said take on that:

“There are two kinds of tweets that making backing up your Twitter feed important: the ones in which you share useful information/links/pictures and the ones which capture in-the-moment expressions of special occasions. Twitter quickly became my go-to social network, and I found it was the easiest, quickest way to disperse information or commentary on something I was doing. Because of that, some of my richest bits of memories are floating out there in Twitterland. “

In her post, she shares some great options for creating archives of your Twitter output. And it’s all illustrated with tweets from her recent experience attending a launch of the Space Shuttle in Florida – a memorable event if there ever was one.

Archive-Along wraps up tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Rachel will show you how to create a “tear sheet file” of the articles you’ve had in print – either by you or about you. And that’ll complete our archive project!

You can catch up on the whole thing over here. As always, if you blog about archiving, we’d love to link to you!
