Hello there! I'm Sister Diane and I have two grand passions: making crafts and making media. That's what I write about here, and sometimes, I get all thoughtful about internet culture and creative small businesses. Thanks for stopping by! Would you like some tea?

If only I could get the theme from Love Boat out of my head…

Holy Moly, you guys – it’s tomorrow!

I’m so excited to be embarking on the Crafty Chica Art Cruise! Kathy was kind enough to invite me along, and I’ll be podcasting the event in exchange. I’ll be recording lots of audio on the ship and editing it together when I get back. Hopefully, you’ll be able to listen and feel like you were there!

I’m also hoping to send you some quick updates through the magic of telephone podcasting and Katin’s help. But, given the vagaries of cell networks and internet, it’s probably wisest to say, “Maybe you’ll get some audio postcards from me here on the blog. And maybe you won’t.” Fingers crossed.

Aside from figuring out what in the world I’m going to wear besides my habitual sweats every day, I’ve been doing a little pre-cruise crafting. These quilted ATCs are to give out to my fellow cruise-meisters.

(Actually, this is an in-progress shot. I dressed up the backs with some blue glitter.)

I also made this bag to carry my recording gear around the ship. The pattern came from Joan at Lazy Girl Designs, and it’s an absolutely genius piece of fabric engineering. I’ll be writing more about it when I get back.

I won’t have much internet access during the week, so it may take a while for your comments to appear here. I’ll be jacked into the Matrix once again on Friday the 16th.

Have a good week!
