So, I wanted to let you know about some cool things coming up . . . all of which, as it turns out, I’ll be participating in!
First, starting on Monday, May 3rd, I’ll be one of several guest experts in Laura Bray’s Multiple Streams of Income ecourse. This is a great course for creative business owners looking to diversify. I’ll be talking about blogging as a source of income, and the course also includes time with Eileen Hull, Jen Goode, Priscilla Burris, Claudine Hellmuth, and Tara Reed.

Then, June 16-18, the Summit of Awesome is coming to Portland! It’s three days of business classes, mentoring sessions, workshops, and networking. (And, rumor has it, a craft show!)
It’s all happening at McMenamin’s Kennedy School, and there’s a great roster of speakers shaping up. I’ll be presenting on common mistakes crafty businesses make with social media marketing, and also leading a Craft Blog Tune-Up workshop-Live!

…And then, August 13-15, the Conference of Creative Entrepreners is happening in Seattle. This event is for designers, artists, and crafters – a place to learn, network, and incubate new ideas.
The schedule of events is already online, and it looks like a high-quality three days. I’ll be presenting a Craft Blog Tune-Up session, and participating in panels on podcasting (with Jennifer Ackerman-Haywood) and on building community (with Marlo Miyashiro)

I SO wish I was able to make it out for the Summit of Awesome event. I missed the one last year too. :( Maybe I'll be able to make a future one, I love events like that.
