Google Analytics is a great tool for tracking your blog’s stats, but it also has some nifty not-so-obvious features you can use to really learn more about who’s reading what on your blog. There is another way to know what content your stumble upon visitors are clicking through to. You can set up a filter to use as a “user defined value” (choose that instead of “referral path” from the drop down) and then Google shows you the referral url, which includes the query string. For stumble upon, you get to see the urls like:
http://www.stumbleupon.com/refer.php?url=http%3…

Thanks for the intro to Google Analytics. Web analytics was a big part of my last job, but there I had some high-powered corporate tools at my disposal. It's great to know that I can have access to this kind of data for my own sites.
