It’s Video Blog Day, and here’s something a little different. Tara and I are getting ready to teach a cool one-day class called It’s Who You Know. In the process, we’ve been telling each other stories of how we reached out to various people online, and how this ended up helping our businesses later.
…And we got to thinking that it might be fun to tell you a couple of those stories, too. So, here’s one little video for each of us.
Remember, It’s not about befriending people for personal gain. It’s about how every relationship you create online has potential “in real life.”

I just love how you've done these videos. How did you make them? Were you recording them live or did you add in questions later?
Thanks for sharing these stories. I'm looking forward to the class!
Thanks Kirsty! We actually recorded our stories separately, and then recorded some “reactions” (which felt supremely strange), and then I cut them all together. It was a really fun process!
Yes, that does sound like it must have been quite odd but it's an effective technique. I do enjoy how creative you are with your videos, Diane.
The editing was all Diane…she makes it look simple :)
But yeah, the reactions were extremely silly (and fun!)
I am kicking myself now because I didn't include your Star Trek comment, which was the cutest thing ever.
We could have the shortest outtakes reel ever :)
Maybe just for the students in the class?
Heh! A good possibility!
You continue to rock my world. Not kidding.
Your class is going to be really wonderful. Lucky students!
