This was fun! Lots of fun. We had a delicious time together on the phone as you recorded for this podcast didn’t we – remembering and giggling over memories shared.
But what always, always blows ME away is your editing skills! How you turn a disjointed phone conversation into a coherent and well designed podcast – teasing out the most important ideas and thoughts and leaving the remaining flounderings and nervous utterances on the cutting room floor!
I get the biggest kick seeing the before and after.
I also hope that at least a few of your listeners will gain a little insight into how to make their holiday celebrating a little more enjoyable and a bit less stressful. So – thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences in planing for a merry merry!
Thank YOU, Mom! I hope I develop your organizational skills when I grow up. :-)
Yay! I’m going to listen to it tonight. I can’t wait!!

Hooray for Mom!!!! LOVED listening to this. I had so much fun when my sister and I did a podcast together a few months ago. Really miss my mom this time of year, as it’d be so much fun to get her on the air, too. Thanks so much for sharing your mom with us!!!! <3 <3
Thanks so much, Anne! It really is fun to get on the mic with the people we know best, isn’t it?
ooh! will listen tonight. perfect timing as i’m in the midst of reorganizing, cleaning, decorating, etc.. yay!
It was lovely. I loved how she talked about scheduling memories – that to give these to our people they really have to be a priority. I read that in a book once and it was great to be reminded.
And it must be hilarious fun to get to talk to your mom about blogging. I can’t imagine. :)
Thank you! (And yeah, we pretty much talk blogs and crafts all the time these days.) :-)
Thank you for sharing your mom with us, Diane, I was looking forward to this! I appreciate the encouragement to get us organized so we can enjoy the season the way it’s meant to be. xoxo to you both!

oh wow, i loved this so much! it was super inspiring and i loved hearing your mom on the phone.
but what makes it even more inspiring is reading your mom’s comment above about how well you edited it– i honestly thought your mom was just an expert at interviews. turns out, you’re an expert at the ole podcast! thanks.
Thanks, Molly! Although my Mom definitely underestimates her own talents! :-)
This was such a great episode and has really put me in the mood for the holidays! I tried clicking your pinboard link, but there is an error happening with the Pinterest server right now. I’m stoked to check it out! I just adore your podcast! And YAY for awesome moms!
Yes, Yaaaaay for awesome Moms! My Mom is a champion planner, and always has a lovely holiday season as a result. I was ready for the holiday season as of about October 20th. :-)
