Time to Sign Up for the Craft Blog Tune-Up!

pilot_ad_class

‘Tis that time again! I’m gearing up for my next edition of my popular Craft Blog Tune-Up online class, which starts on Monday, February 13. (That’s next Monday!)

This is one of my favorite classes to teach. After all, it’s really easy to start up a blog, but keeping it going over time, especially if you want to tie it to a creative business at some point – that’s much more complicated. My class is all about good, usable information to help you improve the way your blog reads, looks, and engages with the craft community.

…And it’s always fun to see how each group bonds through the weeks of class. Many blog-friendships have been made in these sessions!

You can get all the details and register right over here.

…And if you aren’t available on the dates of this class, you can always take the self-guided version.

  • Hello, Your class sounds very intriguing and I was wondering if you are gearing it for blogger or word press blogs?
    Thank you for time, Kathy

    • Hi, Kathy -

We actually don’t focus on any specific platform in this class. In the first week, we work on making better blog content – and that needs no specific platform.

In the second week, we focus on simple design/photography tweaks that most people can do on any blog platform. If anyone has technical questions on how to make these changes, I usually work with them one on one via email.

…And in the third week, we focus on finding more readers and getting more comments, and same as with making better content, that doesn’t require any specific platform.

Does that help? Please feel free to email me with any other questions you may have! Craftypod at deepideas dot com.

  • Hi Diane ~
Your Craft Blog Tune-Up! is exactly what I need!
I have never been in an online class before.
What times are the classes and chats?
    thanks

    • Hi, Annette – The class runs for three weeks, and most of it you can do at your own pace. Each Monday morning, I post the week’s lessons to our online class space. My class space is very organized, and you’ll have a list of 10-12 individual lessons each week to follow in order. Some of these are text-based, some are audio podcasts, and some are videos. And each week, I add some downloadable worksheets and links to supplemental materials.

Everyone in the class can communicate with each other through our class forum, or by leaving comments on any lesson. (You can also email me directly at anytime with questions.)

Each Wednesday of class, we have a live group chat. These are optional, and they’re set up as Q&A sessions where you can get to know your classmates in “real time.” We schedule these sessions according to what works for as many people in the group as possible. I usually have people from all over the globe in these classes, so sometimes the time zones are a little incompatible, but we usually find something that most of the group can get to. I’ll be able to schedule these once everyone has registered for this session.

If you can’t make a chat, no worries – I always post a transcript in the class space.

Does this help? Can I answer any other questions for you?
